ASP Edition current version: 2.0 released May
1 2003
Camtech Connect is an easy to use interface to the Camtech payment gateway. There are seperate versions available for Macromedia ColdFusion™ and Microsoft ASP. It is designed to integrate easily into your code and send commands to the Camtech gateway software.
When called, the control will verify the credit card details, and process the transaction (based on the Merchant ID). It uses the worldwide standard LUHN formula for validating the card number. You can also issue refunds for past transactions.
In order to use this control, it must be installed on the same server as the Camtech merchant gateway, and you must have a valid Camtech merchant ID. For more details on the Camtech online payment system, please contact us. PerthWeb is an authorised Camtech reseller.
Camtech Connect 2.0 is designed to work with the Camtech merchant server software v6. Previous versions of Camtech Connect will not work with this version of the merchant server, and likewise Camtech Connect 2.0 will not work with older versions of the Camtech merchant server. Camtech will be discontinuing the previous version of their merchant server on June 30, 2003. Customers who wish to continue to use the Camtech gateway must upgrade to version 6 before this time.
Camtech Connect 2.0 has support for multiple currencies and CVC (Card Verification Data), dependent on bank availability, and also includes optional card type verification. With these new features, changes to the way the components are called is necessary, so please check the documentation and test your code thoroughly before deployment.
Important note:
Due to Westpac Banks implementation of the new Verified by Visa authentication system on their merchant accounts,
it is not possible to use the Camtech Connect object directly with Westpac merchant accounts. This system uses a
3rd party application for the additional authentication, which does not support COM/CFX objects.
For more information about this, please contact PerthWeb Pty Ltd to discuss the options available to you.
